International Day of the Girl Child 2026 | From Aspiration to Opportunity At Relaxo, we believe every girl deserves the opportunity to dream, lead, and shape her future. Celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child, we reached 44 schools across Haridwar and Dehradun, Uttarakhand, engaging 2,775 students through a week-long series of activities aligned with this year’s theme, “End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls’ Rights.” The celebrations brought this vision to life through meaningful initiatives: • Girls as District Magistrates for a Day: Five girls experienced district-level leadership, participated in a public hearing with Additional District Magistrate Mr. Vaibhav Gupta (PCS), and visited the District Disaster Management Control Room. • One-Day Gram Pradhan: 20 girls stepped into village leadership roles, engaging with local issues and learning about community governance. • Vision Boards & Role Plays: Encouraged girls to articulate their aspirations while raising awareness about child marriage, education, and empowerment. • Awareness Rally: Mobilised community participation in Laksar to champion girls’ education, rights, and gender equality. Through these initiatives, the celebrations reached approximately 12,000 people, helping build awareness and encourage positive change within communities.
